Remember when you would turn on the radio and you would hear a song that would either relax you, get you to grooving, or get you in the mood. You would hear a tune by Luther that would get you in that place, or by Maze that would have you chillaxin on the porch thinking bout the good old days. One day you would turn on the radio and hear Whitney hit that high note, and you would just scream because you know "she did that". This was the good old days of music when it spoke of love, told a story, or made you dance. I remember those days, and it seems like gone they are. Today it seems like all they want to talk about in today's songs is just sex. Sure the old saying is Sex Sells...but how much is to much. And lets not talk about how showmanship is now the standard for todays artist, where all you have to do is jump around like a monkey and say a few Ima Give It To Ya All Night Long or Let Me Lick You Till You Scream and you have a hit record....No Lyrics or words that will take you to that place in your imagination in the journey with the song, just a bunch of hoopla that passes for junk. Back in the Day artist worked feverishly into the night, sometimes spending days in the studio till they got it right. They Practiced their dancing till each step was fine tuned....and if the pitch or beat wasnt perfect they would work at it until it was. Now all you need is an autotune box and a laptop and a couple of oh baby's and ride me girl and you're a star. What happened to our music and the work ethic that was used to make it. I miss the good ole day...I miss Music...How about You?
