The Obama Speech was Good but was it Necessary
Ok so the Prez made the big speech today and I must say he was inspirational to the school kids. Giving stories from his own experience as a youth and also assuring the young kids that they can become anything they will if they just get their education, but was it really necessary for him to make this speech today. Now before you say yes or no we need to realize that there are a lot of factors that need to be considered as you listened to this speech today that would really make this speech effective and really puts his words into motion for our youth to achieve the goals that the Prez mentioned today. Number 1. As the Prez. talked to the kids, how many of the Parents were actually listening to him as well so that they can take the words that he spoke and will reinforce them in their kids lives so that they can be the success that he has spoken of. Because even though the Prez. did make this encouraging speech it's up to the parents to constantly be there to drive this point home and be there to get them where they need to be. Not just say to them all the time, "Remember what President Obama said." But what words of encouragement are you as parents planting in your kids lives. Are you there at every event they have concerning school to support them and encouage them. Are you speaking to the teachers as a concerned parent to make sure your child or children are doing what they are supposed to be doing. An are you Actively involved in the PTA or whatever Parent organization your kid's school have. Because like I said even though the Prez. made this speech, you as a Parent are the actual role models for your kids that they will see far more than President Obama or any other famous personality in life. Number 2. How many of the schools were actually listening so that they will realize that they also have to step up to the plate in giving our kids the proper education that they need to be the persons the Prez. spoke of. Not just preparing them to understand the basics but to also prepare them for the world after they leave the four walls of their learning institute. Getting them prepared for real life, the real world, giving them all the time and attention they need. Some of the teachers knowing that little Johnny needs more tutoring, or little Kathy needs to sit down and study math more, but you pass them to the next grade anyway so you can "get them out your hair" cause you are to busy or you have to many other kids you have to take of so lil Johnny or Kathy fall through the cracks. Were you Listening Schools? and Number 3. Was the Government and I would go as far as to say even the Prez. listening to his own speech and realizes that many of the schools across America are very underfunded and understaffed. They don't have the state of the art equipment they needed to get the kids where he has encouraged them to be. Many of the teachers also don't have the proper education needed to teach our kids. Some of them are undergrads. Some of them have 2 year education and not the required usual 4 years needed to be teachers. And mostly all of them are severly underpaid for the work that they do and therefore they have this don't care attitude that trancends down to our kids and they fail. We need more than just encouraging Words in the form of good speeches yall, we also need action and consistency. So as we celebrate, cheer, and applaude the Prez. for this great speech, the Question is: Where Do You Go From Here?........
