Nah, what in the world is going on here? SMH....As soon as I saw this story I knew I had to blog about it. This lady is worst than Madea. LOL. I can NOT believe this elderly lady came up with scheme to have her husband killed and then by her own grandson??!! WT heck...What could that poor man have done sooo badly that she wanted him killed? And her grandson? How can she claim to love him or care about him when CLEARLY she didn't consider his future? His life? His dreams/goals?
Janet Strickland, 64, has been charged with one count of first-degree murder and one count of armed robbery with a firearm after allegedly paying her grandson, William Strickland, 19, to kill her husband, also named William Strickland, 72, while on his way to receive dialysis treatment, reports NBC Chicago. What in the world???
The judge set her bond at $500,000. OMG!!! This is too sad... Her grandson, who admitted in court to killing and robbing his own grandfather, was held without bond on March 30. On March 2, when the elder Strickland stepped outside of the home that the three of them shared, his grandson William shot him 6 times in the back as Janet Strickland watched from the house. Days before the heinous crime, the 19-year-old said that his grandmother complained of being “sick” of his grandfather and wanting him dead. WOOOOOW!!!!
On top of alllllll of that, as her husband laid dying in the street, Janet Strickland allegedly grabbed a casino bag full of money from by his side. WAIT! What was a casino bag full of money doing by his side anyway? Anyhoo, her grandson snatched his wallet and admits that he purchased “tattoos, new shoes, a cell phone and other items.” Again, WOOOOW! Are you serious? What is wrong with people today? Laawwwwdddd have mercy SMH.
So nah, instead of being in court Saturday, Janet Strickland was reportedly at the hospital receiving treatment for chronic illnesses, including lung disease and hypertension. Ugh, she is going to be suffering with more than just that when God gets through with her butt. And not only that, as sick as she is, she goes and get her grandson in a world of trouble and she may be on her way out of here!!! So what about the grandson then? Who's going to be there for HIM? JUST SAD.
And though the younger Strickland has no prior criminal record, he could face life in prison. Now what a shame yet ANOTHER one of our young black men will be losed into the hands of the system. We gotta pray AND do better! YEP!!!
